Killer takeout pollo asado burrito. Tortilla was nice and buttered up and chicken was so juicy. Great bite and love that it includes chips and 2 containers of salsa of your choice.

I'm surprised the ratings are so low for El Tesoro. Their food tastes better than what we've had from other places with much higher ratings. We ordered on Doordash and my bf (who's quite picky about Mexican food) says he enjoyed his flautas plate. I had a cabeza taco and the meat was SO tender! I also added extra onion and cilantro and it was so flavorful. Will definitely order from here again the next time I'm craving Mexican food!

We were busy this morning with my son's graduation and we didn't have time for breakfast. It's 11:30 and we are back at the hotel, starving. We decided to just door dash something. We all agreed on Mexican food and this location came up. El Tesoro seemed legit, cabeza, lengua and chorizo on the menu, so we figured let's give it a shot. 4 cabeza tacos, a carne asada torta, Tesoro nachos, and a pollo asada super burrito was our order. The tacos looked good and my parents loved them. My mom was a fan of the red salsa. My daughter liked her nachos with carnitas and instead of chips it came with French fries. I understand not exactly traditional but she was super happy with her order. My son had the torta and he scarfed it down. It looked like they toasted not only the side of the bread but also the outside. We wife and I split the burrito and the chicken was tender and had great flavor. I used the habanero salsa and the heat was perfect. My wife used the green salsa and she was happily. Overall the food was great and to top it off they food was prepared quickly and arrived quickly. I think we owe it to them to go and eat in the restaurant to get the true experience but even through door dash the food was great. Sorry too hungry to snap a few pics

Storytime: Scene: 8pm on a Wednesday night. A meeting had just ended in the Mission, and I was hungry as I hadn't had dinner yet. I was in the mood for a burrito, so I checked both Google Maps and Yelp, and found a place. I walked over, and it was closed. No biggie, I found another place. I walked over, and it was closed. It's ok, there's a place around the corner. It was closed too! I was getting hangry and was tired after the meeting, so I checked Google Maps for the best bus to take to get home. I hopped on, and though I had my book with me, kept checking Google Maps for restaurants that might be open. While on the bus, I saw El Tesoro which was on the bus route home. I ordered through Toast from my phone, and when I got to El Tesoro in less than 20 minutes, my Regular Burrito with spinach wrap, black beans, and carne asada ($10.50) was ready waiting for me. I grabbed the bag, and noticed the bus I had left was still idling on the corner. It slowly made it's way down the block, and I was able to hop on the same bus I had left as if nothing had happened--but something had happened: I had my El Tesoro burrito. I continued on the bus home, and once I got home, I kicked off my shoes and washed my hands and devoured the burrito. It was delicious, filling, large, spicy, and so reasonably-priced. The inside is fairly small. Service was good, but brief because I was there for pickup. Prices are so good, I will be back to try more including their horchata and their krazy burrito (which includes Any meat, hot cheetos, nacho cheese, french fries, guacamole, sour cream and jalapenos!)
